Shalini - Vikram Prewedding Shoot

Saturday,  10th of November, 2023

Winter prewedding is tricky. Yes, there is no problem with light, but only till the time Sun rises above the horizon. Once it’s up and shining, even the clients need an early pack-up.

It was chilling in Ranchi with the temperature touching 15.

The couple early morning silhouettes always seem magnificent, however, filming it is a tough challenge, especially when you had a wedding last night and got hardly time to sleep. Everything can wait other than time, so sunrise shoots need perfect planning and execution. First, you have to wake first to wake others in the team. Then you need to poke the client, pack stuff, and travel to the location before the dim red light hits the horizon. A delay of even 15 minutes can ruin everything.

The hill is nearly 18 km away from the main city, and it takes roughly 40 mins drive. As always, we, along with the client, reached our first location in time, almost 4:30 am, and found the Sun rising clean and clear without any clouds, although it was kind of hazy and gave us some extra time. We explored the hill and took a few good sunrise shots.

Yes, the morning was good time to shoot but not the entire day. It was bright and sunny, worst condition for us, but somehow, the weather took a turn into overcast and gave us time to shoot with comfort. Clouds were diffusing the Sun, and now we also had perfect weather to shoot all day long. Partly clouded skies give you a natural diffuser to capture incredible clicks without a worry of shadow or over-exposed face. The whole team was happy with what we shot, and the client cooperated with wonderful gestures and expressions. The shoot ended by seven in the evening on Getalsudh Dam, 40km away from Ranchi.

There were laughs, smiles, and enthusiasm all around, and this prewedding was memorable.

A special thanks to Vikram-Shalinifor trusting Team Perx and making this project beautiful.

We wish all the happiness to the lovely couple.
